1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Spectrum School website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These terms and conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

2. Admission and Enrollment

Admission to Spectrum School is subject to:

  • Meeting the eligibility criteria as specified by the school
  • Submission of all required documents
  • Payment of applicable fees
  • Acceptance of school rules and regulations

The school reserves the right to refuse admission to any applicant without assigning any reason. Admission once granted is subject to continued good conduct and satisfactory academic performance.

3. Fees and Payment

All fees must be paid as per the schedule provided at the time of admission. Fees are subject to revision with prior notice. The school reserves the right to:

  • Revise fee structure with reasonable notice
  • Charge late fees for delayed payments
  • Withhold services for non-payment of fees
  • Refuse admission for subsequent academic year if fees are outstanding

Refund policy is as per the school's refund policy document, which forms part of these terms and conditions.

4. Academic Policies

Students are required to:

  • Maintain minimum 75% attendance to be eligible for board examinations
  • Complete all assignments and projects on time
  • Appear for all internal examinations
  • Follow the academic calendar and schedule
  • Adhere to examination rules and regulations

The school reserves the right to take disciplinary action against students who fail to meet academic requirements or violate academic policies.

5. Code of Conduct

All students must adhere to the school's code of conduct, which includes:

  • Respect for teachers, staff, and fellow students
  • Maintaining discipline within and outside school premises
  • Following dress code and uniform guidelines
  • Prohibiting use of mobile phones during school hours
  • Maintaining academic integrity and honesty

Violation of code of conduct may result in disciplinary action including suspension or expulsion.

6. Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is mandatory. Students must:

  • Attend all classes regularly
  • Inform the school in case of absence
  • Submit medical certificates for extended absences
  • Make up for missed work

Students with less than 75% attendance may not be allowed to appear for board examinations as per West Bengal Board regulations.

7. Examination and Assessment

The school conducts regular assessments including:

  • Unit tests
  • Mid-term examinations
  • Mock board examinations
  • Practical examinations

All examinations are conducted as per West Bengal Board guidelines. Results are final and binding. Re-evaluation requests must be submitted within the specified time frame.

8. Withdrawal and Transfer

Students wishing to withdraw must:

  • Submit written application for withdrawal
  • Clear all dues before withdrawal
  • Return all school property including library books, laboratory equipment, etc.
  • Complete withdrawal formalities

Transfer certificates will be issued only after clearance of all dues and completion of withdrawal formalities.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the school website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Spectrum School and is protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any content is strictly prohibited.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

The school collects and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

Spectrum School shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data or information
  • Interruption of services due to circumstances beyond control
  • Acts of nature or force majeure

12. Modification of Terms

The school reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the state of West Bengal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in West Bengal.
